I feel extremely fortunate to have a career where I have a positive impact on so many people’s lives. As an orthodontist, I love creating things. With every patient I treat, I am creating a healthy bite and a beautiful smile. The most satisfying moments for me are when I reflect back on what I’ve created and see so many happy, wonderful smiles.
My patients are a wonderfully diverse, interesting group of people. I love learning about each person’s background and getting to know everyone personally. Seeing my patients regularly, and sharing stories at each visit, we often become close. I am glad to have a profession where I make positive changes in the lives of people I care about.
Being an orthodontist means making a commitment to staying current with the most advanced techniques and technology. I participate in many forms of continuing education throughout the year, including the Eastside Treatment Planning Seminar and The 12th Man Orthodontic Study Club. This ensures my patients receive the best possible care.
My active membership in several professional organizations enables me to interact with my peers and learn from them as well as the leaders in our field.
Originally from Auburn, WA, I’ve called Bellevue my home since 2000. My life is shared with my wife Alicia, who’s a pediatric dentist. I also have two boys, Jack and Max, and a pug named Mochi. When not caring for my patients, quality time with family and friends is my priority. I also enjoy learning about modern art and mid-century modern architecture. I can often be found painting, woodworking, and working on my vintage car, too.
