Dr. Scott Peterson was raised in Pekin and graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1996. At IWU, he was a member of the Titan’s 1996 Final Four basketball team. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2001 and earned his Orthodontics Certificate and a Master of Science Degree in 2004.
Dr. Peterson has been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics. In addition, he is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, McLean County Dental Society and the Central Illinois Orthodontic Study Club. He is also a member of the board for the McLean County Dental Society.
In giving back to the community, Dr. Peterson is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Bloomington and participates in the Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Dr. Peterson and his wife, Kristen, a 1998 ISU graduate, reside in Normal and are very proud parents of three children: Paige, Ryan and Matthew.
