Dr. R. Moody Williams has practiced orthodontics in Atlanta since 1985. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctorate of Dental Science from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in 1982. He finished his clinical program training in 1984 and received his certificate in orthodontics from St. Louis University in 1988 upon the completion of his orthodontic research.
In addition to spending 40 to 60 hours each year in continuing education, Dr. Williams is a member of several dental and orthodontic study clubs and has been very active with the Hinman Dental Society since 1985. He has also been recognized by Invisalign® as a Premiere Provider.
Dr. Williams grew up in Jackson, Tennessee and is the oldest of four brothers. He currently lives in North Atlanta with his wife Dede and their two children, Mary Grace and Sam. When away from the office, Dr. Williams likes to spend time at home with his family, an activity that has expanded a great deal with the move of his mom to assisted living near his home.
He also likes to play golf when time permits and enjoys the occasional trip out west to snow ski.
Dr. Williams contributes to various fundraisers at local schools and supports numerous charities in the Atlanta area.
