It is a privilege to be in a profession that enables me to have such a profound positive impact on a person’s life: a beautiful smile always gives a great first impression and enhances a person’s confidence and self esteem, besides the multiple health improvement aspects of establishing a proper occlusion. The team at Paul J. Cain, D.D.S. Orthodontics has many guiding ethical principles, the most important being to “always do what is in the best interest of the patient”.
Paul J. Cain graduated from Kenyon College, majoring in biology. He received his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University, followed by a one year general practice residency at St. Luke’s Hospital , a teaching hospital of the Case Western Reserve University System. His orthodontic residency was completed at Columbia University.
Dr. Cain’s interest in dentistry goes back to his childhood . He is proud to be part of the fourth generation of Cain dentists. His great-grandfather, grandfather and father were all dentists, as are his three brothers. Two are orthodontists and one is a maxillofacial prosthodontist. Early in his career Dr. Cain became interested in the treatment of individuals with cleft lip/palate. He has been a member of the cleft palate team at the Hagedorm Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset for over 25 years. Dr. Cain is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the College of Diplomates of the ABO.
