As an orthodontist, I find the greatest reward is in the blossoming of each person’s self-esteem, as they discover their spectacular new smile. Over the more than 35 years I’ve been practicing here in Corpus Christi, I have been given the opportunity to provide care that not only creates beautiful smiles, but corrects a patient’s bite and restores function, leading to greater physical wellbeing. Being able to help a patient’s self-confidence along with their overall health is a great feeling, and orthodontics is one of the few professional fields where we are able to do both.
During my time practicing, I’ve developed wonderful relationships with my patients. I am honored that I’m now providing care for the children of my first patients, and it’s wonderful to continue to be a part of their family.
I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1975, and then was awarded a Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. I am also Board Certified as a specialist in child and adult orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics by the American Board of Orthodontics.
I am committed to providing the highest standard of orthodontic care for my patients. I strive to stay abreast of the latest technologies and techniques through continuing education courses and seminars. I am also a Past President and remain active in the Texas Orthodontic Study Club.
I have two children, Patrick and Kathleen. Patrick is a chemical engineer in Houston; he’s happily married and has two wonderful children. My daughter Kathleen is a family practice dentist in Austin and has a delightful child of her own. I love spending time with my children and grandkids, of course, but I also like staying active. Some of my favorite activities are snow skiing, playing tennis, and biking. I’m an avid fisherman and love to travel, too.
I love my community and I believe in giving back as best I can. I’ve served as a Board Member for Foster Angels of South Texas, am a past-cochairman for the Cattle Barons fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, and am a Board Member of St. James Episcopal School. I have also served as Senior Warden of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
