Dr. Karin Chima-Shuster earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Pacific, where she graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Karin went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She remained at Harvard to complete an Orthodontics Residency program. During her seven years at Harvard University, she was actively involved in patient care, lecturing, teaching, and community service. Dr. Chima-Shuster was concurrently awarded a Master of Medical Sciences degree in Oral Biology and a certificate in Orthodontics from the Faculty of Medicine of Harvard University. While at Harvard University, she received intensive training in the latest evidence based orthodontic treatment philosophies and techniques, which she now uses on a daily basis in caring for her patients. She has been practicing orthodontics for the past 13 years and loves every minute of it!
Dr. Chima-Shuster lives in the Forest Hill neighborhood of San Francisco with her husband, Dr. Vlad Shuster, and their boys Naveen and Isaac.
