Dr. Jeffrey Javelet was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Davis, earning a Bachelor of Science in genetics, before attending dental school at Temple University from which he graduated in 1979. Following dental school, he completed a general practice residency at the Sepulveda VA Hospital. He practiced general dentistry and taught at the UCLA School of Dentistry, and he received his certificate in endodontics from Loma Linda University after completing a two-year program in 1983.
He has practiced privately in the La Jolla area since 1983, and he is committed to treating each patient he meets comprehensively and comfortably. At the end of the day, the satisfaction of helping patients through stressful and complex dental issues provides Dr. Javelet with the motivation to continue practicing. His 35 years of experience have allowed him to develop the skills necessary to continue providing a high level of care.
Dr. Javelet regularly attends continuing education courses to stay abreast of the latest developments in dental care, and in 1991, he received his Board Certification from the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Javelet has lectured locally and internationally on various endodontic topics throughout his career, and he has served on the Clinical Practice Committee of the American Association of Endodontists and the Specialty Peer Review Committee of the San Diego County Dental Society. He is also an assistant clinical professor in the UCSD Department of Family and Preventive Medicine.
Dr. Javelet and his wife, Madeline, have three daughters, Jessica, Jennifer and Kelsey. Outside of the office, his hobbies include music (he plays guitar and keyboards for the cover band “The Knuckleheads”), golf and skiing.
