For the past 30 years, I have been proud to continue a legacy of serving the San Francisco community as a second-generation orthodontist. Creating beautiful smiles and having the opportunity to change patients’ lives for the better are my life’s passions.
Dr. Young completed his pre-dental education at the University of California at Davis, graduating with the highest honors. He then attended the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry, graduating at the top of his class of 108, and went on to complete his Orthodontic Specialty program at UCSF.
After completing his dental and orthodontic education, Dr. Young joined his father in private practice and was a part-time instructor at UCSF Department of Orthodontics for five years. He practiced with his dad until 1989 and it was a time of extraordinary professional and personal growth.
Advanced dental education and continuing to add to his knowledge of orthodontics is of the highest priority for Dr. Young. Each year, he exceeds the continuing education requirements and is recognized by Invisalign® as a Platinum Invisalign Provider and Teen Provider.
Dr. Young stays on the leading-edge of advances in orthodontics by collaborating in multidisciplinary study clubs such as Frank Spear and using the most advanced types of braces, Invisalign, and other appliances.
Dr. Young is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. Now, he is grateful to reside in Piedmont with his wife and two children. The family enjoys travel, food, and outdoor activities.
