I am a native of Red Bluff, CA, and established our practice in 1987 after practicing in Gaithersburg, MD for one year. I returned to the area because I love the lifestyle Red Bluff has to offer. I originally wanted to become a veterinarian but after being bit by a few dogs, attacked by a cat and stepped on by one too many horses, I decided to take a look at some alternatives in the health science field.
In college, I double majored in Fine Arts and after researching a bit, found that dentistry is both an art and a science. An art background came in very handy in dentistry. While in dental school, I discovered that this art background was even more useful in the specialty of orthodontics.
One day an instructor from the orthodontic department approached me to say she had noticed my artistic abilities were well matched with the skills they look for in orthodontic residents. She talked me into applying. The rest is history.
It was fate I guess, and I have since created a successful career as a family orthodontist. I’m proud to be only one of two Board Certified Orthodontists in this part of Northern California which is represented by the Northern California Dental Association. It is a pleasure to serve individuals and families from across Tehama County!
