I was born in Chattanooga Tennessee. My family moved to the Atlanta area when I was three years old. I attended elementary school and high school in the North Atlanta suburbs.
For college, I went to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. I worked for one year, and then attended the Medical College of Georgia Dental School. There I earned my D.M.D. degree. During my senior year of dental school, I applied and was accepted to the University of St. Louis Orthodontic Program. While at St. Louis University, I earned my Masters in Orthodontics.
I am presently a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Southern Association of the Orthodontist, and the American Association of Orthodontics.
I am married to Julie Chris Jernigan and the good Lord has blessed us with four beautiful children: Hannah, Adelyn, Joshua, and Sophie.
I am serving as a deacon at Lebanon Baptist Church in Roswell, Georgia. For 7 years, I taught the senior high school Sunday School class. Presently, I am teaching an Adult Sunday School class.
My profession is truly a blessing to me; I love having the opportunity to give each individual a beautiful smile. Orthodontics is more than just straight teeth; the result of a properly finished case is truly a work of art!!
