Dr. Carolyn Chong was born and raised in the town of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. In 1996, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from the University California at Davis. She then continued her education at the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry where she received her D.D.S. degree in 2000. She returned home to Hawaii and spent two years practicing dentistry with her father before moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she completed her endodontic residency at the University of Minnesota. There she earned her Specialty Certification in Endodontics along with a Masters degree in 2004. Following her two year endodontic residency, Dr. Chong moved back to California and joined Berkeley Endodontics.
Dr. Chong is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics (Board Certified), and is currently a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Northern California Academy of Endodontics, American and California Dental Associations. She has served as President of the Northern California Academy of Endodontics, as a Berkeley Dental Society Board Member and was a volunteer faculty member at the UCSF School of Dentistry Division of Endodontics. She is also a member of the U2 Endodontic Study Club.
