Dr. Brent Lenz trained for over 11 years in order to specialize in the practice of Orthodontics. He attended Duke University for his undergraduate education and then proceeded to the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. Dr. Lenz was one of only two members of his class to graduate with honors and distinction at North Carolina. Dr. Lenz then went on to complete his orthodontic training from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Lenz has had published articles in the prestigious Seminars in Clinical Orthodontics and the Journal of the Tennessee Dental Association. He excels in his specialty and is a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, to name a few. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Lenz is licensed in both the state of Virginia and Tennessee.
Dr. Lenz lives in Harrisonburg with his wife, Amy, their two sons, and two Golden Retrievers. He is a member of several prominent local organizations including the Harrisonburg Lions Club, which he served as President this year, the Elks Club, and the Jaycees. Dr. Lenz swam competitively for 16 years and played water polo for 8 years. He volunteers as an assistant coach for the Spotswood Country Club Swim Team, which he sees as an opportunity to introduce skills and instill a love for swimming in Valley kids.
